I absolutely LOVE when developers really work on unique controls and gameplay concepts for their games, which is the reason I thought the Nintendo Wii would be so good. Unfortunately, not many of the Wii’s games have lived up its potential, though Metroid Prime 3 comes to mind.
Thankfully, Yuji Naka, of Prope, is helping destroy that trend with Let’s Tap!, a really stylish game with really unique controls. The controls look somewhat inspired by Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, where you used the bongos to move and jump. Instead of bongos though, you place the Wiimote on the box and tap it to make your character move.
And the music is AWESOME.
You can hear the music and read all about it in Vinnk’s Impressions.
