My trusty Thinkpad has been going through some trying times lately… First I had problems with getting online, but I eventually just reformatted my harddrive and fixed all that.

Unfortunately, this latest problem won’t be so easily remedied… It appears that my harddrive my be failing. My computer constantly freezes, which is never a good sign…

Daily Picture – I Love Swamp Bicycle

I love swap bicycle. Today, for the first time, I got to experience swamp bicycle. Something that I had completely forgotten about, until the Mother 3 Fan Translation reminded me about it.

Anyway, my quest to complete Earthbound before the Mother 3 translation is completed was accomplished today. The ending to that game is so fantastic. Unlike other games, which will have your typical “epic” endings, Earthbound gives you complete control to do whatever. You can explore the whole, enemy-less, world. Besides swamp bicycle, I also went out to eat at the over-priced restaurant in Summers, visited a lot of my friends, returned the book I borrowed from the library, I hung out in my hideout with my friends and tried to come up with names for our “gang”, etc. It was awesome, I spent a good 45 minutes just running around and doing all this.

Once upon a time, there was a game called Earthbound. This game was so amazing and so fun, that it still has a cult following today.

But, unkown to some people, there existed a movie prior to this, also called Earthbound. It has no such cult following. It did, however have a pretty cool movie poster. So, basing it off Earthbound the movie’s poster, I made a movie poster for Earthbound the game the movie.

Really nerdy, but it’s kinda how I feel when I play Earthbound. It doesn’t really matter what’s going on around me, because I know that Earthbound will be better.

I started playing it again, and it’s as great as ever. So far, I think that I’ve talked to every possible person in the game. It’s one of the few games where I actually SEEK out people to talk to.

And in other news, GIMP is still giving me ridiculous problems. It took me no time to draw that picture, then it took me like half an hour to get the little Earthbound screen on the TV.
